Weekend Adventures

This weekend we decided to temporarily hop out of our little bubble and make a day trip to Washington, LA to check out some antique stores and whatever else the town had to offer. It was a very cold and dreary weekend and this mini road trip ended up being the perfect way to keep us from lounging on the couch all day. Not to mention I was hoping to score some fun pieces for the living room. We spent the majority of the day at the Old Schoolhouse Antique Mall which is quite literally a HUGE old school turned antique mecca. (To any of you that ever make it out there, the gym has the best stuff) Thanks so Peyton's keen eye I found the most amazing vintage champagne glasses ever! I wasn't really aware that I needed a set of champagne glasses, but I don't know how I ever lived without these. Even though it was an almost fruitless trip, it was nice to slow down and wander though the quiet old buildings. Sometimes I forget how nice it is to not be in a hurry, not have anywhere to be or any reason to be checking the time. I don't think I checked the time once on the whole trip. . . In fact, it was so relaxing that I barely snapped any photos, oops! All in all it was a great little escape and has inspired me to explore more of the antique stores around here for little treasures. It might just become a new holiday tradition. Hope your weekend was full of little adventures too :)

Needless to say I almost lost it when i saw this chair, unfortunately the cushions were filled with sawdust
